Woven structure

Simulation Studio — online, in your browser

Before committing yarn to the loom, it helps to see the cloth. The Dusrawork Simulation Studio takes any weave structure — preset, imported BMP or hand-drawn — and renders it as a physically-parameterised 3D fabric, complete with cross-section cuts through the interlacement.

A free Dusrawork account includes monthly usage credits — design, simulate and export without a subscription. Yarn behaviour in the preview is driven by real physical parameters — thickness, slub, lustre, hairiness, crimp amplitude — so the simulation reflects the yarn you will actually use, not an idealised texture.

What the studio does

  • Custom weave matrix upload (BMP) or in-studio structure editing
  • Per-yarn physical parameters: thickness, slub, lustre, hairiness, material, count, twist
  • Warp and weft colour sequences with repeating patterns
  • 3D surface render plus sagittal/warp/weft interlacing cross-section cuts
  • Crimp profile and distortion controls for realistic take-up behaviour
  • EPI/PPI density and repeat controls matching production settings

The workflow, end to end

  1. Upload or choose the weave structure; set the fabric dimensions in ends and picks.
  2. Configure yarn colours and physicals, then set density (EPI/PPI) and repeats.
  3. Inspect 3D surface and cross-section views, and export the simulation package.

Frequently asked questions

Can I simulate a weave I already have on file?

Yes — standard weave BMP files import directly, so your existing structure library can be previewed before sampling.

What does the cross-section view show?

It slices the fabric to show yarn interlacing and crimp — how warp and weft actually wrap over and under each other at your chosen density.

Does simulation replace physical sampling?

It removes most of the guesswork (structure, colour sequence, density) before sampling, so mill trials are fewer and cheaper.
